Managing the Human Side of Change Workshop
This 1-day workshop will equip managers and leaders with the mindset and skills to support, guide and lead team members during the transition process of an organisational change.
Workshop Objectives:
- Upon completion of this 1-day workshop, Change and project team leaders and managers will be able to:
- Understand the Importance of Change Leadership; Recognize the critical role of leadership in managing organizational change and how it impacts team dynamics.
- Identify and Mitigate Resistance; Develop skills to recognize and address resistance among team members, creating a more adaptable and resilient workforce.
- Apply techniques to enhance empathy, active listening, and effective communication to support team members during times of change.

– Understanding the role of leadership in change management.
– Differentiating between transitions and Change
– Lewin’s Change Model: Unfreeze, Change, Refreeze.
– Bridges’ Transitions Model: Endings, Neutral Zone, New Beginnings.
– Kubler-Ross Grief Cycle: Denial, Anger, Resistance, Depression, Acceptance.
– Understanding resistance to change.
– The sources and types of resistance.
– Strategies to mitigate resistance effectively.
– The role of empathy in change leadership.
– Active listening techniques.
– Effective communication strategies during change.
– Helping members to move forward

The Workshop Facilitator
The workshop will be conducted by Mr Ng Choon Seng. He is the only IAF Certified Professional Facilitator-
Master & Assessor and WIAL Master Action Learning Coach. Choon Seng has been in the adult learning
industry for more than 30 years and is one of the foremost practitioner in the space of process and
learning facilitation.
